I am the owner, trainer and consultant at Dr. Hauss Training & Consulting.
I'm a chemist and molecular biologist with degees from the University of Würzburg, Germany and UTSW Medical Center at Dallas, TX, USA as well as a research doctorate (PhD/Dr.rer.nat.) from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, for research on molecular cancer diagnostics conducted at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund, Germany.
After my time in academia, I joined the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries working in various medical affairs functions both on the local field level as well as at the Europe/Middle East/Africa HQ level. In these functions, I not only organized, chaired and spoke at corporate symposia up to the global level, I also conducted trainings that had nonacademically trained medical technologies rave for statistics and commercial colleagues fascinated with the scientific side of the business.
Realizing that a lot of our events were less effective than they could have been because speakers were not able to get their points across in a clear and compelling fashion, and motivated by the Theranos scandal's demonstration of how powerful good communication could be, I decided to offer my support to those with great research, great product concepts or actual products to convince others of the importance of their work.
Even in my spare time, I dedicate myself to mastering and teaching public speaking as a member and club officer of a branch of Toastmasters International, a global organization promoting public speaking and leadership skills.

Studied Cellular and Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, TX (USA), Master thesis on prostate and prostate cancer physiology
Graduate studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology, Dortmund on novel approaches for the early detection of colon cancer. Awarded doctorate in sciences (Dr. rer. nat.), equivalent to a PhD research doctorate.
